THE LUGUBRIOUS
The Bernese electro duo THE LUGUBRIOUS play touching, moving ambient sound. Their elaborate compositions are made of atmospheric and pounding sounds that resonate in the chamber of the heart, ebbing and flowing like waves. Flat or broken beats spin a web of sound that is carefully mixed with jazzy saxophone melodies or mingled with soulful vocal fragments. The musical pearls invite to daydream as well as to dance. While the name of the band indicates something sinister and heavy, their music actually isn’t. If at all, it´s that kind of melancholy which is reminiscent of the beauty of life. Their mixture of Ambient, Electronica and IDM have already brought them a nomination as most promising newcomers in the category “electronic” at the M4Music Festival. In addition, they are well known for their remixes of some popular songs by celebrated acts like YOKKO and LEN SANDER.

It has been two years since Gina Estrada has published her debut album ” Picturing my Dream “. Since then she has been on the road with her band delighting her audience and fans with her varied performances .
In 1998 she formed for the first time a trendy formation with Mokka, a band that has been commonly attributed to the trip-hop area and with whom she toured up to 2003. Since 2009 she appears only under its own name .
Thanks to her intelligent and innovative sounds and her strong stage presence thrives Estradas music in the field of Electronica , Disco House and Pop

WASSILY
Wassily, « the Royal » – this sounds like Siberia, Vodka or Kandinsky. All wrong but somehow it remains true. Wassily is not from Siberia, but from the cold, forgotten East of Switzerland. He is also not a polka-vodka joker, but he plays nevertheless quite danceable and emotionally charged music. And he isn’t an expressionist like Kandinsky, though he still tries to express something in a simple way. But he doesn’t have much to say. His work would rather be good background music for a cheesy love story. Many dreams, much drama. Wassily makes emotional music, which can be classified somewhere between Electronic Dreampop, IDM and Hip Hop. And almost forgotten: Wassily wears the crown when he is allowed to sing Maitlimelodien in the head voice!

Two Waves tries to transport you with sounds inspired by Odesza, Flume, Fakear and many others. After having won the Tremplin valaisan, he was quickly able to play a few gigs that lead to him opening for Petit Biscuit at the Pont Rouge.
